Roasted Figs Goat Cheese Honey (Print-Friendly Format)

Broiled figs with goat cheese, honey, and pistachios offer a simple yet sophisticated sweet and savory treat.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 12 to 16 fresh figs
02 - 113 grams soft goat cheese (ensure vegetarian rennet if required)

→ Seasoning and Toppings

03 - 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
04 - Salt, to taste
05 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
06 - 3 tablespoons crushed pistachios (optional)
07 - 60 millilitres honey

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat the oven on the broil setting. Remove stems from the figs; choose either to cut an 'X' in the top two-thirds of each fig or slice each fig lengthwise and create a small indentation in the centre.
02 - Arrange figs cut-side up on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use a teaspoon to gently fill each fig with goat cheese. Brush the surface of the figs lightly with olive oil and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Top with crushed pistachios, if desired.
03 - Place the prepared figs under the broiler and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the cheese is softened and the figs are slightly caramelised.
04 - Remove figs from the oven and drizzle with honey. Serve warm or at room temperature.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For enhanced flavour, select ripe but firm figs and ensure the broiler rack is not too close to avoid burning the honey.
