Drunken Cherries in Amaretto (Print-Friendly Format)

Maraschino cherries soaked in amaretto, dipped in white chocolate and almonds for a decadent bite.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 285 g maraschino cherries with stems, drained
02 - 230 ml Amaretto liqueur
03 - 170 g white chocolate, melted
04 - 30 g sliced almonds, finely chopped

# How to Make It:

01 - Place the drained maraschino cherries back into their jar. Pour in the Amaretto liqueur, ensuring all cherries are fully submerged. Seal the jar and allow the cherries to soak for 12 hours or overnight.
02 - After soaking, drain the cherries thoroughly. Arrange them on several sheets of paper towel and gently pat dry to remove excess moisture.
03 - Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Holding each cherry by the stem, dip it about three-quarters of the way into the melted chocolate, then immediately roll the chocolate-coated portion in finely chopped almonds.
04 - Place decorated cherries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate until the chocolate has fully set.

# Extra Tips:

01 - For optimal flavour and texture, serve dipped cherries within 12 hours of preparation. Undipped cherries in Amaretto can be refrigerated for up to 3 months.
