Allow cream cheese to reach room temperature, or ensure coconut cream is thick and creamy. Avoid using coconut cream that appears hard or flaky.

Remove stems from strawberries. Blend or mash the berries until completely pureed.

Place the strawberry puree, cream cheese or coconut cream, yogurt or substitute, powdered sugar, and optional vanilla bean paste into a blender, food processor, or mixing bowl.

Blend or mix the ingredients until the texture is completely smooth.

Portion the mixture into serving dishes and refrigerate. The mousse will thicken considerably as it chills.
