Tender cabbage rounds topped with seasoned ground meat and melty cheese, baked for a tasty and lighter meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Cabbage Base

01 - 1 small head of cabbage, cut into 1.25 cm thick slices
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Burger Patties

03 - 680 grams ground beef or ground turkey
04 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
08 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
10 - 1 egg, optional, for binding

→ Topping

11 - 60 grams shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or preferred type)

# Steps:

01 - Heat oven to 190°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
02 - Slice cabbage into 1.25 cm rounds. Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - In a large bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg if using. Mix thoroughly until ingredients are evenly incorporated.
04 - Portion the meat mixture and press evenly onto each cabbage slice, shaping to fit the surface.
05 - Place sheet in oven and bake for 25 minutes until the patties are cooked through.
06 - Remove from oven and sprinkle shredded cheese atop each burger. Broil for 3–5 minutes until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
07 - Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately with sour cream, mustard, or preferred dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - A plant-based meat substitute can replace ground beef for a vegetarian adaptation.
02 - Incorporate extra herbs or spices into the meat mixture to customize flavor.
03 - Store cooked cabbage burgers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
