# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 large russet potatoes or Yukon gold potatoes
02 - 1 teaspoon fine salt
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
05 - 60 millilitres unsalted butter, melted

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).
02 - Wash potatoes thoroughly under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
03 - Place each potato between two chopsticks or the handles of wooden spoons to prevent slicing through completely. Cut vertical slits approximately 3 mm apart across each potato, stopping before reaching the bottom.
04 - In a small bowl, combine salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
05 - Brush half of the melted butter over the potatoes, ensuring to coat inside the slits. Sprinkle with half of the seasoning mixture.
06 - Place potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.
07 - Remove potatoes from the oven. Using a knife, gently separate the potato layers. Brush the remaining butter over the potatoes.
08 - Return potatoes to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining seasoning mixture before serving.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Placing chopsticks or wooden spoons alongside each potato aids in achieving uniform slices without cutting through.
