Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add diced onion and bell pepper, cooking for 3–4 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add ground chicken to the pan, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring frequently, until chicken is fully cooked through and no longer pink.

Pour in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika. Stir well to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Lower the heat and simmer the mixture for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and flavours have melded.

Spoon the Cajun chicken mixture generously onto the base of each hamburger bun. Top with remaining bun halves and serve hot.
