Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles (Print-Friendly Format)

Green beans wrapped in bacon, oven-roasted until crisp, finished with a sweet and savory glaze.

# Ingredients You’ll Need:

→ For the Bundles

01 - 450 g fresh green beans, trimmed
02 - 8-10 slices bacon, cut in half
03 - 15 ml olive oil
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
06 - 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

→ For the Glaze (Optional)

07 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
08 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
09 - 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Wash and trim ends of green beans. For enhanced colour and tenderness, blanch beans in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then place in an ice bath to cool. Drain thoroughly.
03 - Group 6-8 green beans and form compact bundles. Wrap each bundle tightly with half a piece of bacon.
04 - Arrange bundles seam-side down on prepared tray. Drizzle olive oil over bundles, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
05 - Mix brown sugar, soy sauce, and additional black pepper in a small bowl. Brush glaze mixture over bacon-wrapped bundles if desired.
06 - Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until bacon is crisp and beans are tender. Rotate sheet once for even browning.
07 - Allow bundles to cool slightly before serving. Transfer to a platter and serve warm.

# Extra Tips:

01 - Blanching green beans yields a vibrant colour and preserves a crisp-tender bite.
02 - Applying glaze is optional for a sweet-savory finish; omit for a reduced-sugar option.
